CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT – CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The Hellenic Association for Gestalt Therapy announces the organization of the 1st International Conference for Gestalt Therapy in Greece, on the topic:
Gender and Sexuality Today.
Gestalt Psychotherapy in Interdisciplinary Dialogue
The 1st International Conference for Gestalt Therapy in Greece will be held on 13, 14 and 15 March 2026, at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and will be hybrid, with live webcasting of theoretical presentations.
The official languages of the conference are Greek & English and simultaneous interpretation (Greek-English-Greek) will be available throughout the proceedings.
The main venue for the speeches has been designated Amphitheater I of KEDEA, but Amphitheaters II & III will also be used for the holding of parallel presentations, as well as the Foyer (multi-venue).
The organization is held under the auspices of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specifically its Departments of Psychology, Biology, and Medical Physics, as well as the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (E.A.G.T.), the National Organisation for Psychotherapy of Greece (N.O.P.G.) and the International Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy (I.A.A.G.T.).
The HAGT invites individuals interested in presenting talks, experiential workshops, posters, or panels, either in-person or online, to submit their proposals in both English and Greek by November 30, 2025.
If you experience difficulty preparing your proposal in Greek, the Organizing Committee can assist you upon request — please select the relevant option for “translation assistance.”

All proposals, once evaluated and approved by the Scientific Committee, will be included in the final conference program only if the presenter has completed registration at:

The proposals that will be submitted, in order to be considered complete and forwarded to the Scientific Committee of the International Conference, must be sent electronically by the above deadline and include ALL the following information:
– Title:
Complete title (with an optional brief explanation) of your proposal speech, presentation or experiential workshop.
IMPORTANT: This text must be submitted in Greek and English. Please note that if there is difficulty in translating your text into Greek, the translation will be carried out under the responsibility of the Conference organizing committee.
– Presentation format:
a. Theoretical presentation – Speech: Each speech will be part of a thematic “Unit” and will include up to 3 speakers. The duration of each speech is strictly limited to 30’, while at the end an additional 30’ of discussion with the audience is foreseen for all three presentations.
b. Round table – panel: The panel provides the opportunity for presentations of different and/or complementary perspectives on the approach to a selected topic. The duration is strictly limited to 90’ for the speakers, under the responsibility of the panel chair, while an additional 30’ of discussion with the audience is foreseen for all
presentations.
c. Experiential workshop – in-person or online workshop: The duration of the experiential workshop – seminar is strictly limited to 90’. For implementation, there may be a minimum and/or maximum number of participants.
d. Posted Announcement – Poster: Posted in a specially designed space during the Poster presentations, according to the program. The print must be 120cm high and 70cm wide, while the posters are created and posted under the responsibility of their author, in the space indicated by the secretariat. Mounting material for the placement of the posters will be provided exclusively by the secretariat, on the day of the specific presentations.
– Abstract up to 100 words:
Present a brief but complete description of the topic you will develop, highlighting the focal points of the process you will follow and the goal you have set for the audience, as well as the connection you make with the theme of the Conference.
IMPORTANT: This text must be submitted in Greek and English. Please note that if there is difficulty in translating your text into Greek, the translation will be carried out under the responsibility of the Conference organizing committee.
ATTENTION: This text will be included in the program of the Conference and will be published wherever necessary (in print or electronically) for the promotion and communication of the International Conference. The same applies to the information included in your short CV. Therefore, by submitting your application, you
simultaneously grant the right to use the information and texts included therein to the
Hellenic Society of Gestalt Psychotherapy, without any reservation.
– Technical and logistical requirements:
Please describe in detail if you need any logistical infrastructure for the implementation of the speech, presentation or experiential workshop you propose.
– Curriculum vitae:
A detailed curriculum vitae, including your studies, training and professional experience. This information will not be published or shared with third parties, but will remain in our association’s archives.
– Short curriculum vitae:
Create a very short curriculum vitae with the basic information you want to be included in the accompanying program of your speech – presentation or experiential workshop. This information will be published on the website and printed promotional material of the conference.

– Photo:
A high-resolution black-and-white photo to accompany your short curriculum vitae. This item will be posted on the official conference website.
IMPORTANT CLARIFICATIONS
All proposals submitted by the deadline will be forwarded anonymously to the Scientific Committee for review. The Committee will decide whether to approve, reject, or suggest an alternative format (e.g., inclusion in a panel or poster session), depending on the emerging themes and the needs of the final conference program.
Once accepted, presenters will be notified about the next steps to finalize their participation.
In case a presenter cannot attend the conference, their paper may be read by a member of the Organizing Committee as scheduled.
Any presentation may be removed from the final program if the presenter fails to submit their final paper and accompanying visual material (e.g., PowerPoint) by the specified deadline.
Decisions of the Scientific Committee will be announced in December 2025, via email (personal notification) and on the official website (for general publication of the program).
After the acceptance of the proposal, each speaker must electronically submit the final version of their speech, as well as the accompanying visual material (PowerPoint) that he will use by Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the following mail : gestalt2026@praxiconevents.com
